I am the watcher on the walls.
I am the fire that burns against the cold,
the light that brings the dawn,
the horn that wakes the sleepers,
the shield that guards the realms of men.
I pledge my life and honor to the Night’s Watch,
for this night and all the nights to come.

As always, and as expected, I was disappointed with the film adaptation. That always happens ‘coz I expect too much. Never mind the fact that the guy who portrayed Peeta wasn’t that attractive for me.. I’m still reminded of the Zathura days that I can’t get over the fact that he is no longer a kiddo. Well, I wasn’t “Team Peeta” in Hunger Games.. I just grew to love him on Catching Fire and Mockingjay. At first, I couldn’t picture him and Katniss together. Gale was perfect for her, in my opinion. Only in the next books did I understand why it had to be Peeta and I completely approve. ——- ANYWAY, I’m way OFF topic now.
I guess I just love the books too much and have the quotes etched in my heart that when those words were skipped in the script, it tears me apart. Call me emo but I was waiting for the damn “you have no competition ANYWHERE” line… and where is that game-changing shout of Peeta’s name c/o Katniss??
Plus, the pacing just didn’t work for me. At first it was too slow… then it was too fast! Rue’s character died just like that!!! I bet the moviegoers didn’t get to connect with the character that much.
And there’s just too many moments that I wish were there, but weren’t…
Right now, I just really want to get a hold of the books and re-read them. Maybe erase the movie from my mind for a while?
I truly can’t thank you enough..
The only Maroon 5 song my father liked. :)
You’re holding me back without even trying to…
It’s not everyday that I like an emo song…
